Can Not Log Out

Perhaps this is an unexpected side effect of the work which was done by the tech staff today, but I just found that I can not log out. I get a notification that I have logged out, and it tells me that all my cookies have been cleared, but that is not the case.

I have even shut down IE and opened again only to discover that I am still logged in.

If this is not just my problem, then something should be done before somebody comes upon a public computer where an F/Ter is logged in and decides to cause some mischief.

Just tried to log out after reading Dovster's post.

Exactly the same here. Cannot log out, despite getting the cookies cleared message.

Same for me. I logged out and also cleared my cache.

I could see & browse Omni, but I could not see Coupon Connection.

This sounds like an issue for Randy's IT team. They read the Technical Issues forum; you are likely to get a faster response by posting there - or emailing them at [email protected].

Thanks for the suggestion, SanDiego1K. I just sent the e-mail.

Weird, works fine here... Perhaps it differs per browser?

I am working with IE 6.0. I don't have any other browser so I can't check it with another.

After reading your reply, I thought that possibly the problem had been fixed. Again, I logged out. Again, I was told that my cookies had been cleared.

I closed IE, returned to this page, and am answering without logging in again.

I am not very tech-minded, but is it possible that there are different servers and one or more has this problem while another one (or more) does not?

Perhaps AJLondon, Mary2E, SanDiego1K and myself are connected through oneof the faulty servers while ScottC -- and presumably some others -- are going through one which does not have this problem.

Press CTRL + ALT + DEL and go to processes to see if explorer is running in the background possibly but not appearing on the Windows task bar.

If you have more than one browser open (particularly to FT), clearing the cookies may not help.

I have no issue logging out either.

If the "Log Out" is not working for you, then the work around may be to go to Tools in Explorer, go to Internet Options and delete cookies. Then exit IE and relaunch.

IE is not running in the background. I had wanted to try a small experiment (which is why I tried logging out) but it is not important enough to delete all my cookies from every site.

I am on my home computer so this is not actually a problem for me -- I am more concerned about people who are on public computers and don't realize that they haven't logged out.
