Goodbye OMNI
Randy baby, please allow me a few words on my beloved OMNI
Wouldn’t it have been easier to reprimand &/or kick-off offending handles than to silence OMNI?
As with everything in life, OMNI did have it’s good & bad sides. Therefore it should come as no surprise that OMNI did have it’s detracting topics. However to bring down OMNI in this unceremonious way adds unfair weight to the negative features of the forum. Yes some participants were ‘boisterous,’ but OMNI had so much value, & it brought together a hodgepodge of people that in ordinary circumstances would have not talked. Very serious topics were easier to digest and cope with because of OMNI’s overall humorous platform.
In times like these, OMNI was a healthy informative balanced medium, & served more than what our biased media have to offer. OMNI was more substantive than at first glance, or second glance...or third. I also think that OMNI grew to the scope that is the rest of the FT board, & is just, if not more, useful. I'm certainly disappointed, that the powers here cannot see beyond the murk to see the gold.
Just in case I never get this chance again, goodbye OMNI... babies.

This is the last word on the elimination of the OMNI forum.
Randy has closed the other thread... so I am assuming that he has read the feedback and - as we know from experience - it WILL go downhill. The thread he just closed is proof positive of that.
SO... I am taking a decision that we need no more public discussions of OMNI and its closure. If we wanted that, we would have left the other thread open.
Please people, take the time that you would have complained here about OMNI and make positive contribution to your favorite threads and Travel Forums. THAT is why Randy provided this treasured gift to us. The OMNI playground has been closed and we will have to earn the right to possibly have it return in the future.
May your future travels be exciting.
