I'd like to thank you for bringing this thread to my attention. That 'new' member was banned and I'll delte him from our files and i also deleted the thread from FlyerTalk. We have no place for spam and I appreciate the fact that our members take a lot of pride in that and helping us moderate this.

In deleting the thread, I loved the fact that flamboyant 1 noted that the Luxury Hotels forums is one of the best on the board and that this was the forst time in two years that soemone had interupted the civilty there. I'm glad to report that it's back to normal.

Again, many thanks.

An original flyertalk member (an original member and a member who's original)
I think he got bored when postings got weird about 6 months ago.

Anyway, he's from a "border state" (Texas!!!!) and is/was a flyertalk gem.

Here's an example of his posting

"arturo's mottoe:
Werk lik yu dont kneed the monie.

Luv lik yuve knevr bin hert.

Danse lik knobodies wacheng.

Seng lik knobodies lisneng.

Liv lik iets Heaven on Earth.

Loving, Caring, Honest, Intelligent, Empathetic, Creative, and Giving."

Hey, arturo, if you see this, send me a pm & say hello
Rita

Randy, please feel free to remove this thread!

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=335923 is now the second commercial interruption of civility in the luxury Hotels Forum in one week.

Did you click on the "report bad post" icon (as suggested above)?

I've seen a few of these spams appear from time to time, on various different forums. I ALWAYS report them, adding a comment like, "purely commercial message from a newly-registered FT handle" (or whatever description is appropriate).

Sometimes the same spam is posted again, under a NEW newly-registered handle, a few weeks after the original thread was deleted and the handle banned! Some people REALLY don't get it.
