Thumbs up Remember the positives...

Reading the comments about reputation makes me a bit sad. It seems no-one is remembering all the positives of the new bulletin board software, and the FT community in general.

Yes I have been dinged, like others but who cares. Overall this place is much better.

*It works significantly faster
*You have the option to ignore someone
*You can ding / reward folks as you see appropriate
*The private msg is amazing. If it weren't for the penis enlarging "stuff" I wouldn't even need my second email address anymore

We are better off. My hats off to the FT techie's who pulled this all off.

(FYI if I ding, or reward I sign it and noticed that most of the ones coming my way have been signed as well)

Cheers

Few would disagree that the New FT has a lot more features than the old one. Nearly all of them positive IMO.

MANY of them have been fine tuned as a direct result of constructive feedback from members.

I hope "reputation" will be another one of them.

It is an evolutionary process. Admin have an enormous amount of options at their disposal. I do not believe they mind hearing constructive feedback

Wow - I just discovered the "View First Unread" feature. I love this! The new FT is a huge success, IMO.

Thumbs up Here are my favorites!

I love checking out who is a "Current Active User" and then sending them a private message. What a grand way to connect with old friends whom we do not get to see as often as we would like.

Love this feature. :-: :-: :-:

Thumbs up

Indeed. vBB overall is an impressive system with lots of great features. And it was pretty courageous of Randy and the gang to change board systems with such a large database of old posts. While there were some hiccups at first, I can't imagine such a switch could have been pulled off any better.

Way to go guys.

I am in total agreement..... This FT is a HUGE Improvement!!

Perhaps I will some day get around to figuring out what all these bells and whistles do and/or mean.

However, as many of the posters on this unfortunately all too little subscrived thread have noted, the private message option is absolutely fantastic!! ^ ^

I have communicated more with members in the past few weeks than I ever had in my long tenure at FT! Moreover, there are many fast developing friendships that are resulting from same.

Too many people dwell on the negative and they have forgotten to take time out to do one simple and appropriate, and long overdue action.

THANK YOU RANDY FOR A WONDERFUL FORUM TO AIR OUR LIKES/DISLIKES AND DESIRES/NIGHTMARES!! I AM TRULY INDEBTED TO YOU!!
