Last time i checked, it still was. One member of FT made a statement I think to be a stretch of the truth.

I challenged that statement, said member went on a tangent.

So you're still sore about getting banned from More Miles, eh Camera? Give it a rest already. You're not generating any sympathy from anybody by going after Punki.

Wow, that took longer than usual.

Posting knwingly false information is a violation of the TOS.

I was NEVER banned or suspended from the pathetic little site. I ASKED to be unregistered due to the biased cowardly moderating.

But, you already knew that.

Punki Nov 18, 2003 9:15 pm

To be perfectly accurate, OttoGraham, no one has ever been banned from More Miles. There have been folks suspended but, although he had several posts edited, I do not believe that CameraGuy was among them, IIRC.

OttoGraham Nov 18, 2003 10:11 pm

I am confusing my bulletin boards, of course. That Alzheimers is getting to me.

Of course, we do know that CameraGuy was permanently banned from posting on FlyerTalk on May 8, 2001.

Sorry for confusing things. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

To bring page 2 of this thread back to the actual topic again, I'd be amused to see what amount of billable legal hours have been involved in the last few pages of the referenced thread. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

A few First Class revenue tickets to Europe worth right there is my guess. Never knew FT hosted so many qualified attorneys. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

In the interests of accuracy, Mikesilv needs to read the thread again. The quotation cited above was not made by PineyBob about QL but by PineyBob about Mr Gitomer, who is not (yet?!) a participant on the thread. Incidentally, the thread carries the word pee rather than p*ss.

There may have been another flame in the thread, this time by PineyBob about QL, but it has already been edited out so we cannot know.

Both PB and QL seemed to have calmed down now, and the conversation continues at a muted level. I suggest that there is no need for timeout. Until the facts debated in the referenced thread actually become clear, there's no point in getting ourselves upset about it.

With reference to the public spat between Punki and CameraGuy, can I suggest that we all display different facets of our personalities on different occasions. Sometimes they're attractive, sometimes they're less than attractive. Sometimes they're face-to-face, sometimes they're online or in print. Mr Gitomer seems to be a prime example of this.

Jungian psychology would say that the things we like least about others are precisely the things present in our own dark side that we don't want to acknowledge. So, whether it's Punki or CameraGuy or Ozstamps or Gitomer or anyone else, beware of pouncing on the less attractive aspects when they sneak in (as they sometimes do): your pouncing only serves to prove that part of you is like that too.....

As long as we're off-topic: Glen, how do you always know when a topic is about to go on to the next page?

Punki Nov 19, 2003 6:08 am

1P, to be perfectly accurate, the statement made by PineyBob on November 14th at 11:16 p.m., was:

<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2"> As for Quiet Lion I offer you this:

"I wouldn't piss in your mouth if you were on fire.."

End of flame & end of rant"</font>
Sounds quite clearly directed to QuietLion to me. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/eek.gif

OBTW, Jungian psychology notwithstanding, I have read FlyerTalk almost daily for about 5 years now and I honestly do not recall a single incident where either QuietLion or I have ever exposed the negative side of our personalities (not to say that we don't have negative sides, but we are smart enough not to display them in public for the whole wide world) http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif .

OK, there was a time when my dear friend Ozstamps acted a great deal like an exuberant Australian (duh? isn't that exactly what he is?), but he now appears to have been tamed to behave like an almost politically correct new century American. Is this necessarily a good thing???

gleff, I have no clue how Ozstamps knows the things he knows, but have just come to accept the fact that ozstamps, much like QuietLion, is a quirky genius. I don't worry or wonder about their talents anymore, but just try to benefit from their truly astounding insights.

They have both offered me great knowledge which has resulted in planting my tired old bottom in first more times that I can recall, even on the Concorde once, and in elegant suites all around the world, more times than I can recall. OK, I am a true capitalist, and/or hedonist.

Got to love the amazing free advice you can pick up on the internet. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Punki -
I have no way of knowing if you are correct, as this is the flame which was moderated out of the thread and is no longer readable - but I certainly take your word for it.

The flame I quoted came earlier in the thread and was clearly directed at Gitomer. Sounds as if PineyBob is in the habit of using this piece of abuse to all and sundry..... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

Well thats exactly what he said, which I did somehow manage to read accurately.
My posting on the subject was made a some time after I had read it so I did not know it had been moderated out.

But then I have no second thoughts in bringing up the subject again since some here appear to be unaware (or are at least pretending that they are) of it.
