TalkBoard & nFT

I got thinking (ya, ya) that in all my experiences on the Internet (a lot) I don't really recall a community site, such as nFT, that has had a Board or Advisory Council elected by the membership.

I really believe it is somewhat of a revolution and am most impressed that Randy is taking such a step.

I very much look forward to the introduction of the TalkBoard and the things they will tackle and accomplish in their year. Exciting times ahead for nFT.

A little early for your acceptance speech, no?

Dorian, I agree as well. I'm looking forward to the formation of the TalkBoard.

I received the mailing, but don't recall seeing anything about how the "election" is actually going to work. Are we as members going to vote based on specific platforms adopted by those "running" for the board? And if so, how will we be informed as to what those are?

Also, is there a determining factor on who can vote (i.e., number of posts or registration date)?

For those appointed instead of elected, what are the criteria for appointment?

Mind you, I don't mean (or want) to start a debate on what should or shouldn't be a basis for election/appointment/enfranchisement, but I'd be interested to know if anyone can shed any light on this.

I really have little to no idea...

I am sure Randy will inform us in good time...as I recall specific dates in his announcement email.

Will be interesting to see how many people 'run'.
