How About A Nice 500,000 Post Pool?
Randy, FT is rapidly creeping up on 500,000 nice wonderful posts so how about a 500,000 post pool? Have all interested AND perceptive FTers post to a thread the exact date, hour and second they estimate FT hits 500,000 posts, and the closest FTers could/would win some really nice big juicy prizes as chosen by you.
You could give out some ff miles, some upgrades or some really nice new 2 dolla over-the-ear earphones etc to the more perceptive people.

Maybe you mean "Paid for by you".
Sort of changes the glory for Randy?
Maybe the giftor should be the one to decide if such a "pool" is appropriate and what type price or acknoledgement is appropriate.
My understanding of a "pool" is those that want to put up something and the winner get all or most of the "pool". IE football pool. Guess that is not what you have in mind.

I don't mind paying the price...heck, it's cheap entertainment most times. HA!. If someone wants to arrange it, I will donate to the winner: one copy of 'Up In The Air', 1,000 frequent flyer miles from ClickRewards, one free year of subscription to MileageManager when it launchs in the next few weeks, a FlyerTalk t-shirt and a special first run gift of the new 'House of Miles' denim work shirts we have coming our way.

We have a winner: Please join me in congratulating brattdisp074 with a best guess time for the 500,000 post on FlyerTalk Miles of 9:46 AM (6 minutes from actual time). The official time for the 500,000th post was 9:40 AM, Tuesday August 14th. We had two other members only a minute away: swag and toadman each guessing 9:33 AM (7 minute difference).BoSoxFan45 was at 9:37 (3 minutes away) but on August 15th not the winning 14th.
