Even if the merger with United does go through (many are guessing that it is not), your miles will be transferred into United's Mileage Plus program so there is no need to worry. If you are worrying about US going under or another airline buying their assets and not taking the mileage, that is very, very, very far off from even beginning to think about! Just my opinion; I'm not Randy Petersen!
