Keeper of the Tags
I'm the one to blame for the luggage tags. Randy asked me to put a rush order on the tags so he could take them to the Freddie Awards to pass out. I did that. But what I got back was not what we ordered. There was no way I was going to let Randy take those with him. So.... we are starting over. And, of course our printing company is moving their offices and the printing machines are torn down for the move. But, the end result will be well worth the wait. Your welcome to email me with any questions or if you need to have a tag replaced.

Janet,
Randy had indicated earlier that people who had ordered the original "breakaway" (unintentional, I believe) tags would automatically receive the new ones.
Is that still the case?

Can you perhaps post a link with a photo of the new tags...?

FlyerTalk luggage tags? This is still going on? Let me just say that I joined FlyerTalk a few weeks after it started and recall on at least one occasion that we were told that FREE luggage tags would be provided. Haven't seen it yet.

If you joined FlyerTalk and didn't get a free luggage tag, you should demand a refund of your membership dues!

We did promise free lugaage tags to those members who were at this years Freddie Awards. With production problems noted by Janet, that did not happen and we will still live up to that promise once the new ones arrive. Other ways we distribute free luggage tags - we have been know the hand them out at various FlyerTalk get-togethers. As noted, they are always available for purchase and hope you as members will support this nominal retail effort. We don't make a lot of money from that end of FlyerTalk, but it's the thought that counts.
I believe that you will all want to get some of the new tags. If our vendor is able to deliver what i have instructed from them, you'll all be happy to recognize one another when traveling - and they won't fall apart.
