Poor FT service???

I have seen a couple threads asking about the UA drawing for 5-20,000 mile credits, but I have yet to see any announcement of the winners.

I believe some explaination or direction is in order? That talk was a long time ago, to not be able to pull 5 names "out of a hat"!

Ranles,

I believe Randy posted that the list had gone to United for approval... guess they want to make sure that they were accounts in good standing... not noted for trading/bartering SWU's or anything like that.

Not sure that is bad FT service... but we know how long United can take to respond sometimes... just hope it is not a form letter!

William

I'm sorry, Ranles, but I just can't let the above post go by without comment. You know, I think I am as interested as the next person in who(me,me,me)won the the miles.

But can we get a little perspective please? The chat was last Thursday evening. Two and a half business days have gone by. To be accusing Flyertalk of poor service and/or demanding explanations seems very off-base, if not downright ungrateful.

Respectfully,
Chucka......

Isn't "service" something that you pay for?

Agree a couple business days is hardly an eternity.

wharvey .... not exactly sure what your cryptic comment above was alluding to? Don't say YOU were disqualified from the draw for openly trading and bartering United upgrades in the threads below?? You of all folks? Wow, what a shame - there is always the AA guys for next chat - better luck there perhaps for you? Hey, but don't try for the TWA or UA Air chats, as you openly trade their stuff too it seems? Too bad.

Gee Oz,

Are you not the one who "Claims" that 2001 is a different year?

All of the threads you linked are from 2000. If you expect us to ignore your behaviour in 2000, it is only reasonable for you to do the same.

Randy,

The personal attacks continue, at what point will further action be taken?

OZ,

Are you feeling guilty? Don't believe I mentioned you with the SWU comment... but you always seem to appear... GUILT MAYBE?

Well... yes, I made a post for a systemwide...(an inappropriate trade/barter request) and you decided to link it twice. If you check the others, I was offerring transferrable coupons for other coupons. I do not believe there are any restrictions on the TWA and US coupons... but feel free to correct if you know differently.

I just hope (for your sake) that they don't disqualify people for having confidential internal documents.

I might think United would look more harshly on such a person than someone who asked for an upgrade here... or even sold one on eBay.

William

Edited to add (trade/barter comment) to make the comment clear to someone!

Gee, if i had known this thread would have evolved into this, I would have ordered up five fake names to be quickly displayed as winners and then later on come back and say that United was so generous that they gave us 5 additional winners for yet another 100,000 miles.

I'll learn, though apparently not fast enough.

Randles - as the others have said, we turned the selected winners (which Dan on our staff does) over to United (late Friday or Monday morning) for their OK to post. Once we get the names back - and we don't anticipate any problems, we'll then post the winners to everyone. Please understand that these aren't our miles to give away, they still belong to United and we feel it only appropriate that they give the final work and OK.

Is it never, EVER, enough already?

Is there perhaps some secret award or something, about which I am unaware, for precipitating a "locked thread?"

C'mon everyone, PLEASE!

Good night all!

Tomorrow is another day!
