removing multiple handles using my e-mail-adddress?
I just received a friendly but cool email from Randy asking me to decide which of the three Usernames (Rudi, Gisela, Papst) I want to keep (and FlyerTalk would then remove the two other handles).
Here is my e-mail reply to[b]Randy gruezi I would not understand if Rudi or Gisela wouldn't 'survive', they are our real First-Names - real persons not hiding anything. Gisela is my wife and it happens that she uses my Macintosh Computer at home, and at the time when she did register, she didn't have an email-address of her own yet. Papst is a name gaucho100K invented for me and he used it when addressing me (Rudi) on FlyerTalk-board (mostly in the LH forum) from time to time (very seldom) and was used by me (Rudi) only when I did reply directly to one of his postings naming me Pabst. Nobody could ever have been missled when I used this Papst handle to reply to gaucho100K. Never ever did Gisela or Papst use any inappopriate word or 'attack'/flame in the slightest way anybody on FlyerTalk-board. If you really decide to remove any of my total of three handles, then please remove ALL THREE OF THEM cheers from snowing Switzerland, where the cool winter makes hot-flamewars just impossible Rudi Martel |

Tell Randy to dump Pabst, and get Gisela a Hotmail account if she hasn't yet gotten her own address. If she has, then change it in her profile. Problem solved. Never missled? It seems clear to me, one user name per person, not two. If you and your wife share the same e-mail address, then a simple reply to Randy stating that fact would probably do the trick. Shed one of the other duplicate names so your and wife each have one. One per person please! We need to all play by the same rules.

Aren't we all just busy editing our posts? It's not for public discussion because you are violating the FT rules. It sounds like you posted here to get other FTers to come out in support of a waiver for you. That may not be your intention, but that's how it sounds to me.
Everyone respects Rudi (though his support of the inflammatory ozstamps is somewhat unsettling), so there's no need to jeopardize that by acting like FT rules don't apply to him. |

I am not aware of flaming ozstamps either (at least not in the last months). I am not aware of any (published or unpublished) rules forbidding multiple Usernames at the time when these three handles for two real persons were 'created' (I am still not aware, aside this recent email, of such a published rule today). This Forum clearly says 'Only Randy Petersen' so it looks perfect for me to post my reply (and I didn't post his personal email to me). And my closest (oldies) friends on FlyerTalk know that I am not looking for support of my opinion if it is about me (personally) - to the contrary, I have (and defend) the philosophy that that (friendly but very open) contradicting opinions help me to look at 'things' from different angles and that I activly support contradictions. Your statements above, about my (and Gisela's) opening postings, seem to 'proof' that the topic is worth being discussed openly on this board. |

Is it possible that Mr. Petersen has simply checked all handles against their corresponding e-mail addresses, by computer, without looking over the list? It is hard for me to imagine that a regular reader of these boards believes that Rudi and Gisela are handles attached to the same person. And the rarely-seen Papst has made no secret of whom he has become.

If Flyertalk will delete the Papst handle, then they should also proceed to delete the Gaucho100K handle at the same time. JRF-- " shape up or ship out " is NOT an adequate form of address to a Lady of Gisela's stature. She has never flamed anybody and would never break any rules.
