I liked my fantasy that Flyertalkers were real people who did not need to hide behind multiple aliases. I tried Trip's Chat but there were not only multiple aliases but no way to keep someone from using another person's name and doing great damage. I quit that board and kept to this one because I thought the members were more mature and focused on travel. In some cases, I was obviously wrong. I have been really disapointed in the recent flame wars. Many of you folks have met each other and become friends. Is this any way to treat your friends??? Get a grip. Not to mention it is a waste of everyone's time having to plow through all the posts. Let's get back to the primary purpose: helping each other with travel tips.

Thankfully, Gisela, however, still exists on FT, as well as in real life! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/eek.gif

Cousellor, you hit it right on the head! Agree or disagree, this is a place to allow discourse and growth. If I agreed with everyone and everyone agreed with me, this would be a really boring planet.

Some of us just need to learn that they way we solved our problems in 3rd grade is not the way most adults solve their problems.

I believe one handle should be enough for one person.

I have gone the other way and used one handle for two (my wife and I) although she has never posted, I thought she might want to when I signed up early in FT history.

As so many people have confessed to multiple handles (in various forums) I may misunderstand their rational.

As for those who do it to support there own posts...that is really sick. Two that do this and have been "uncovered" (elsewhere) are really no surprise to me as it did not seem possible that two people (actually multiple identities for one) would be so "off key".
