Latin Pass double cross?
Latin Pass being slow to post miles is not new but when my Million mile bonus was not posted by 10-20-00 and I had 41,000 actual accrued miles they told me I could book a ticket with those miles. After taking my flight and calling to check my bonus status they informed me that I would be penalized 500,000 miles because I had used my actual miles to book a ticket before my bonus was posted. It makes absolutly no sense I know but that is what I was told. Your help and/or comment is appreaciated. Thank you.

Randy, Can you be of any assistance on this. The miles I used were not bonus miles, I was advised by Latin Pass that these miles could be used before the bonus was posted, Latin Passes failure to post mine and other bonuses has precluded them as an inocent party. They have no legal or moral ground to stand on in a duplicitous interpretation of rule 14. I'm afraid I see no solution short of legal action if you cannot bring pressure to bear. What is you opinion on this and the conduct of Latin Pass based on facts, not the clever dialogue and so called good intentions put forth by Latin Pass.

Let me think just a little more on this and I'll answer. I'm tempted to really fly off the handle on my current thoughts on LatinPass and don't want to be sorry for my words. To give you a hint on where I stand on them right now: In June I did my mileage run and have yet to receive a single statement from them to date...

Seemingly!
Some fear, however, that the siesta will never end!

Good luck, MauiGirl. You're clearly right, but that doesn't mean you'll get the other 500k miles you deserve.
On the other hand, I'm starting to think very few of us million milers will actually get to spend them all. Now that LatinPass has pulled the plug on the Marriotts transfers, I'm even more steamed at their refusal to honor a previous transfer request. In short, they implemented the 30,000 mile/month limit on transfers 3 days AFTER I submitted a large transfer request. I faxed the request and three days later they said no dice because, "effective today" transfers will be limited to 30,000 miles. I complained about this, but figured I'd be able to accomplish the same result over time. Now I can't.
Now I'm waiting for the 5th or 6th shoe to drop from LatinPass.
At least I got a family trip to Cancun from the bonus. And I got to see Managua while making my run....

I had given some serious thought to doing a Latin Pass run, but I waited too long, got hit by the sudden registration cut-off, seemed like bad luck at the time.
I have enough trouble getting worked up about OnePass mileage credit for my America West flights!

I hate litigation, with a passion, but it sure seems they are really approaching this in bad faith.

I think that there is a great chance that this will turn into a class action suit. There are too many people and too many miles at stake.
It will cost LP far less to settle with individuals then defend against a class action that will win and cost them hundreds of thousands in legal fees and millions in lost revenue with this much bad faith.
