A new FF Program at Frontier?

Randy,

Your*Radar* column in the Dec 2000 edition of Inside Flyer mentioned that Frontier Airlines will start their own program in early 2001. Do you have any more information? Those of us in Denver who would rather not take the train might find this program very interesting!

In a related topic, I asked Frontier about the proposed pitch in their new A319's to begin delivery in May of 2001. While they specifically reserved the right to comment, they did say that pitch would be at least as much if not greater than exising A/C. Maybe there are plans for a Jet Blue type interior!

I think you might see something as soon as mid-January. They originally had something for these last few months but had asked me to look things voer and I suggested they re-think a few things and while I'm not positive that was the reason, they did take another look at what they were doing. It's not a bad program for a smaller airline - like the JetBlue's and the Legends and the AirTran's and Frontier while their stock has been beat up lately has been doing a fairly good job. I've also advised them to continue a relationship with Continental to earn miles for those that don't want to entirely leave the big leagues..... Thanks for the question.
