Let me take a shot here.
You can combine AA and US miles for either AA or US award tickets. For example, you get 2 F Hawaii tickets on AA for 100K miles (may be using all of US if you want to keep AA).

For NW miles, unless you want to transfer miles from Marriott Rewards to make it 20K miles, you could redeem 10K miles for 2 Hawaiian inter-island tickets.

On CO, you could do same same as NW for award ticket or transfer them to Hilton Honors program.

Ditto for TW.

On DL, you can move 5K mile worth of points from Marriott for 2 domestic/Canada award ticket on DL or UA or you could move all DL miles to Hilton.

I don't think you could use UA miles. Seems like they are enough for magazine subscriptions.

Holiday Inn, you could transfer 10K pts for 2.5K miles of its airline partners.

I left a few but I'll leave them for others.

Why don't you use free services such as http://www.myciti.com/ or http://www.verticalone.com/index.html or other programs to keep track of your FF accounts? They can be such time saver...

Randy,

Those of us at Delta are wondering how to burn all of our miles most effectively if this SWU thing does not get overturned or at least significantly changed?

What do you think about the situation?

FredCharles,

Have you looked into the HiltonHonors Program. I looks like you can convert miles from several airlines into Hilton points, and then convert these miles into into miles from one airline (or use them for a Hilton Hotel room).

Hilton would be my guess for EASE of wiping them - YES you get a terrible rate, but YES, they are all in one place to be used WHERE you need them. And minimum amounts per program transfer might be the hassle too?

On the bright side, if you go to my thread on "The Buzz", you and your partner can end up with 6,000 Hilton miles in 5 minutes, totally free, or enought for a FREE Hilton night, so that might make up for getting screwed on the "exchange" rate!

I might suggest to use some of the programs/credit cards that allow you to add miles to multiple programs. These include clickrewards, Diners Club, AMEX Club Rewards, AMEX starwood optima.

I use clickrewards and Diners Club. Clickrewards can be transferred to most US airline/hotel programs. Diners offers 12,000 miles over 1 year for their $80 annual fee. The miles transfer into almost any program, I think even including SW (double check this). Also restauraunt discounts, the best rental car coverage, and some intl lounge access. There is a pretty nice referral benefit, so if you know any family/friends with it get them to refer you, otherwise I would be happy to

Go to www.mileageworkshop.com to take advantage of some of the offers to add to the balances.

DL miles can be added by using www.greenpoints.com

Hope this helps you "top off" you accounts to get to reward levels.

Honestly, I think DH has done an admirable job in assisting you. If you would like, I'll make you a candidate for a Mileage Makeover and see whatr I can come up for though without really thinking too much, it may not be much different than what DH has contributed. But I don't mind. Let me know as I'd like to help if I can.
