Round the World Lounge preferences

Here's my route

SYD-AKL-xHKG-xLAX-xDFW-PHX-xDFW-CVG-xORD-SFO-xLAX-LAS-xLAX-xSFO-xLHR-EDI-xLHR-HAM-xLHR-xSIN-ADL-PER-xSYD-xAKL-SYD

As a One World Sapphire what lounges should I spend time in? What lounges should I avoid? Will I have access to the LHR arrivals lounge? I'm travelling on a LONE4 ticket.

thanks

Kire

SYD QF Business Lounge. Nice, but nothing compared to the F Lounge.
AKL QF Club. Decent lounge in J and F
HKG The Wing/The Pier/ QF Club. All okay in J
LAX Pretty nice QF/AA lounge. F is not much better than J.
DFW Many AA clubs all are pretty okay except for the food offerings.
PHX I don't think there is an AAdmirals Club
CVG I don't think there is an AAdmirals Club
SFO Nothing to write home about
LAS Again, I don't think there is a lounge
LHR BA Terraces at T5. Quite nice.
EDI BA Terraces Lounge
HAM Contracted lounge, I don't think you will have access.
SIN QF/BA lounge. IMHO one of the nicest J lounges out there. Can be quite full however.
ADL Nice QF Club
PER Full QF Club

You will not have access to the LHR arrivals lounge unless you get upgraded to J or F or you make it to BA Gold.

By the way, you have some rules violations in your itinerary so I guess this is not ticketed yet, correct? (too many total segments, too many international departures, too many North American Segments and some code shares which aren't allowed (LAX-SFO)).

Agreed with DUF's comments - the route as proposed is certainly not possible on an LONE4 (although LAX-SFO is - that's an AA route).

That depends upon the terminal.

If flying from LAX to DFW/SFO/LAS then there is quite a difference between the T4 lounges.

In the itinerary there is a LONE4, a KUPP SFO-LAX-LAS-LAX-SFO and separate SYD-AKL-SYD and LHR-EDI-LHR. So it's four bookings in the one trip. Now a lot of these lounges overseas they're not like the QF lounges right. There's no free food/drink?

thanks

As a (Non AA) oneworld sapphire you have access to AA AC's when travelling. The food is minimal but alcholic drinks can be obtained with complimnetary vouchers.

Which you should be offered by the agents on entry to the lounge. If they don't offer - ask.

The BA lounges are similar in terms of food and drinks to a QP. Only the AA flagship lounges would be similar. The normal AA Admirals Club usually have a nice ambiance and also a decent drink selection (courtesy of the vouchers) but not much in terms of food.

I was actually referring to the T4 lounges (combined AA/QF lounge). The F section is not much nicer, it only has more food and drinks. But it can be quite full, has no computers, no magazines etc. Just more food.

Eh? Nicer drinks (and no need to feel bad about not tipping the AC barman). Food (not bad, though not Wing / QF F SYD standard) vs no food. Nice washrooms / showers. Music listening points. Nice view.

I must admit I've never looked for magazines / newspapers, but I guess it's easy to bring them in from the J lounge if necessary. The F lounge has always been 5-50% full when I've been there - never crowded.

As you are obviously acquainted with QF lounges please, please lower your expectations in most instances if you want to avoid disappointment. Especially in AA lounges. The flagship lounges (or Flagship in AA's case) are fine, but most others do not hold a candle to the QF lounges that I have experienced.
