Availability of Flights on American Airlines RTW Distance Zone 8

I am looking at using my American Airlines Miles for a RTW Trip (Either Business/First) for a ~30,000 mile trip but was wondering how far in advance I need to book, I am looking at NYC-LAX-MEL-SIN-HEL-FCO-JFK. The flights would be a mix of AA, Qantas, Cathaway, and Finair. Could I book this with like 3 months notice and be ok? Thanks.

There is no straight answer to this. If you would have asekd this question a year ago I think we would have all said no. A lot of those seat will have been taken 300+ days out.
But nowadays things have gotten a lot easier. I still say that it will be difficult to get the routing you want for the dates you want 3 months in advance. Especially in F but also in J. But if you are flexible with times and places than it might still be possible.

If you've got a BAEC account you can check a lot of these sectors for availabilitiy on ba.com. [Just make believe that you are booking them using your BAEC miles.]. I'd do that before making any calls to AA....
