MAD lounge access for OW Sapphire

Hello all --

Will be travelling SMF-DFW-MAD-PNA soon and wanted to ask about OW lounge access in MAD.

I see that as AA Plat/OW Sapphire I have access on the day of the international flight only. My question is, is that based on international arrival or departure? I'll have a few hours in MAD waiting for my flight to PNA and was hoping to hang out in a lounge.

Thanks,

Joe

The international travel rule for lounge access is only in respect of AA's lounges in USA. As long as MAD-PNA is on a OW airline you will have access to the Iberia business class lounge in MAD domestic terminal.

pardon a late comment but the IB lounge at MAD is top notch

hope you get to experience it

regarding internet (if this is of interest) they have free wired connections. CAT-5 cable which can be borrowed by talking to the lovely (no overstatement here!) ladies at the front desk

1. As OW Saphire, you will have lounge access whether its a OW intra-Europe or long-haul flight.

2. I'm not aware of any Arrival lounges in MAD.

I was travelling around Spain/Portugal in Jan, MAD T4 is huge, so check if your gate is near or close to the IB lounge, and allow enough time to get to gate. They do not call flights in the MAD lounge.
