Unhappy Trying to get AA codeshare for QF op. flight

Hi!
I am on a LONE4 right now and I will fly SYD-HNL on August 16th in QF3. As I am collecting the miles for AA though I have been calling AA over and over to get the AA codeshare but they say it is not available atm. The oneworld itinerary planner says it is available in L but AA representatives tell me its a different inventory. Also, they cannot put me on a waitlist. I need the codeshare in order to be able to finish the platinum challenge and it's like 2500 AA miles. From your experience, will the codeshare rather be available as people jump off closer to the departure date or shouldn't I have high hopes?
Any advice or thoughts would be much appreciated.

EDIT: I cannot go on the 14th (AA told me it's available then) or later than the 16th because I am not flexible anymore since hotels, appointments and everything is worked out.

AA 7359 currently has 7+ seats available in L. Are you calling the AA RTW desk in the US?

E/F is showing the AA codeshare (AA7359) as J7 D7 I0 Y7 B7 H7 K7 M7 V7 W7 S7 L7 N1 Q0. You would be looking for L class.

This is relating to loadings for North American purchases.

Did you call AA in the USA?

I flew out of LHR so I bought it from AA in the UK.
Who I call is the AA RTW desk in the States.
Should I call AA in the UK and it works?
Thank you guys.

In theory both the US and UK should be fine with the US RTW desk usually being very competent.
I usually have the opposite problem. I want to get the QF flight number but AA forces me to take the AA flight.
