Avoid JAL if you can
JAL's New Business Class is Nice - The Old Business Class is Terrible.
I just did Singapore to NRT in the new Business Class it was nice but a little tight if you are 6'2 ,
3 days later I did NRT to Brisbane in the Old Business Class, 9 Hours of W..T..F am I doing ???? Seat was extra Cramped, and virtually zero Entertainment and terrible food. I wished I'd flown Qantas via SYD.
Also -JAL is terrible for flexibility - anything which is not prearranged in writing will not happen. They follow every rule by the book. They don't really care about One world Top Tier Status unless you are a JAL Frequent Flyer.

I agree that JAL's old business seats have to be replaced, especially longer flights.
Other than that, JAL is fine to me

You really need to watch out for the type of seating on JL as it varies wildly. I canceled a KUL-NRT J flight after finding out that it was the old J seat in a tight pitch. Not good for an overnight flight.

Really? I have pretty good results being AA PLT and AA EXP when flying on JL. Sometimes JL will run 3-class planes but marketed as 2-class flights for short haul routes like NRT-ICN or HND-GMP. They assign me the long-haul F class seats for those flights ^

A belated welcome to Flyer Talk LamboRich
As you are fairly new to FT you may not have realised that cross-posting (posting the same thing to more than one forum) is generally frowned upon.
This thread is now closed, and those interested in continuing the discussion can do so in the more appropriate JAL forum thread.
