ONE reissue by phone?
I need to reissue my AA-issued RTW (DONE3) to make a change to routing.
Using ExpertFlyer, I have confirmed that all required segments have the required inventory. Looking good on that front.
Can I perform a reissue by telephone to the AA RTW desk? Ticket is electronic. Seems like they could reissue over the phone and charge the reissue fee to my credit card. But searching the FT archives, I don't see any discussion of telephone reissues. Instead, everyone talks about at-airport reissues and occasionally TA reissues.
Otherwise, do I have to go to an AA ticketing location? I'm currently in downtown MAD and would prefer not to trek out to the airport. An additional complication is that the AA RTW desk opens at 7am US Central time, which is noon MAD time this week. Meanwhile, AA's Madrid page reports that MAD ticketing closes at 12:15. So I can't call the RTW desk, then go out to the airport the same day.
Many thanks. I read the FAQ and archives but couldn't find a crisp answer to this. Maybe it's too obvious to merit discussion, but I wanted to confirm for sure.
