Oneworld payment problems when BA ticketing

For anyone thinking of this avoid as BA can't take payment at the moment - a problem in their systems where they can't get the BA computers to spk to the oneworld computers

I want to go to LHR-DEL on my first segment so it is a BA ticket.

I have a LONE5 which is all confirmed but I can't pay for it over the phone - am having to go up to LHR to have my card swiped!
Tried calling the AA ATW desk in the States but they wouldn't ticket this as I have no AA flights even if I went LHR-HEL which is a codeshare with Fin-air

An update on this - went to London City and paid no problem and have the eticket

However BA do have an unresolved softwate problem for taking payment so be aware that unless they can tell u it is resolved u will need to go to a BA desk at ur local airport and pay - not all airports have them - Stanstead for example

Plus agents stick on an extra £100-£150 and in my case were going to charge much more tax

BA have had a number of online payment problems over the years. At one stage they couldn't accept a French credit card for an ex-GVA flight, even though there's a French side of GVA! It seems to be getting better, but it's clear that BA's systems people are more than a little insular.

Having a problem right now with an ex-US ticket first sector on BA. Booked Thursday night and called BA US first thing Friday to pay. Rep said ticket was showing as 'expired' - as if I had waited more than 3 days to pay. Told her I had booked it the night before and she said she'd rebuild it and email me if there was a problem. No news at COB so called back and another rep said it was in process and should see the charge on my cc (and e-ticket # on checkmytrip.com/ba.com) on Saturday. Got back tonight and none of the above has happened, and Amadeus reservation has completely disappeared.

FFS.
