Urgent help required, BA and AA refusing to help after AA hashed up dates
Hey, I booked a DONE4 for my GF and I. They ticketed me for the 5th of Jan and her for the 6th. I phoned and changed it, the AA website, BA website and the emailed itinerary says the ticket is for the 5th. Yet I tried to OLCI and it says NO. I called BA they said the ticket is for the 6th. I called AA they said it is for the 5th, AA called One World who said it is for the 5th.
I called BA back and they said the itinerary says the 5th but the ticket the 6th and that AA need to re-issue it?
Who is pulling the wool over my eyes and what can I do? We are moving country tomorrow and traveling together is what we planned to do.
P.S. There is no D class One World availability out of SA to Europe tomorrow, I believe.

As you are flying with BA I would tend to beleive what BA tells.
Date changes do not require a re issue.
AA would not have phoned Oneworld. Oneworld is a marketing organisation:- nothing to do with ticketing or resevations
What does www.checkmytrip.com and http://www.lan.com/cgi-bin/recibo_et...bo_eticket.cgi show ?

I called AA and they kept saying dates don't matter, I shook my head in disbelief. Checkmytrip says the date is the 5th which is the date I want but BA say it says the 6th.
American emailed me a new copy of my ticket on Friday and it said my ticket is for the 6th yet their website says otherwise.
Checkmytrip.com only has 5 out of 11 flights on it.

It would help if you had only one thread on this problem with BA and not 3.
Thread 2 on AA forum
Thread 3 on BA forum

There's no need to be worried and starting multiple threads in a panic.
From what you're saying, you hold a seat for the 5th, but your e-ticket has not been updated to reflect this change. It's no biggie - just a PITA that you can't use OCLI (for the time being).
Ideally, AA would revalidate your ticket. BA cannot do this as it is an 001 AA issued ticket. BA would have to reissue which is a little bit labourious when it is far easier for AA to revalidate.
However, AA will only be able to revalidate if you rebooked your flight directly with AA. If you rebooked directly with BA (or other OW carrier) then, owing to AA/BA being on different systems, the newly rebooked flight will not appear in AA's system and I can possibly understand why AA would be reluctant to faff around if they cannot see the confirmed space. If this is the case, then BA realy should take ownership.
Chances are that unless the ticket gets sorted out in the meantime, you'll be fine for OLCI tomorrow morning.

Multiple discussions on the same issue is generally not helpful, which is why FT frowns on cross-posting.
Anyone who can help the OP please do so in the thread in the AA forum.
