BA and Qantas in Merger Talks

BA and Quantas talking about merging. BA still considering merger with IB but it looks to be held up due to dispute regarding ownership percentages and BA's pension deficit.

LONDON (Dow Jones)--British Airways said Tuesday that it is exploring a potential merger with Qantas Airways via a dual-listed company structure.
The discussions between British Airways and Iberia are continuing, it said.
There is no guarantee that any transaction will be forthcoming and a further announcement will be made in due course, if appropriate.
