How would you do it? (Explorer / routing question)

I've got a trip to the following coming up in November (finally, after wringing around this subject for months):

KRK
PRG
DUS
LHR
DEL
KUL
NRT

I'm departing / returning through the US.

The PRG/DUS leg is the real PITA. I can do:

HEL - KRK - <OJ: PRG-DUS-LHR> - LHR - DEL - HKG - KUL - NRT - Return pretty easily. But I'd love to get that OJ on the ticket, which I think is impossible (without doing KRK - LGW - LHR - PRG - LHR - DUS - LHR, and the KRK -> PRG leg flips a segment on me, and [I think] counts as an OJ).

I could also swap to AA -> FRA, and then use LH for my KRK/PRG/DUS legs.

Any other ideas? I don't think I'll be able to keep this on OW without doing the LGW/LHR and visiting LHR 3 times in a week...

Cheers,

-Andrew

How are you going to get to KRK in the first place? The weekly AY flight from HEL seems to cease after Oct 2nd.

Possibly OK (Czech) would be best for KRK-PRG-DUS & then you can get back onto BA from there.

When I check the AY timetable, it lists 4 flights -- well, two, but duplicated -- with no change in time or flight number -- one with "starts Apr X" and the other with "ends Oct 2". I'll have to call AY.

satprof was right. KRK is seasonal with AY and ends in Oct, restarting in April. Back to the drawing board.

I just wonder what brings you to KRK&PRG ? As those are my "homebases" I can't see stopping here on a RTW here

Neither can I, but that seems to be the way it goes when your boss is paying...

Assuming you're trying to maintain AA miles in this process, you might be able to get to KRK via LGW (while avoiding the LHR-LGW transfer) by routing through Bermuda, e.g. JFK-BDA-LGW-KRK; or via Madrid - JFK/ORD/BOS/MIA - MAD - KRK. Not sure any of those are convenient connections, but also don't know your time frame. I assume the MAD-KRK flights (which are in an RJ under Air Nostrum, which is kosher for xONExs) would offer good connections through Barajas.

KRK-PRG could be via MAD also, but you'd quickly run out of European segments by constantly zigzagging through Madrid, Budapest or Gatwick.

Somehow I think there are trains or low cost Euro carriers in your future, however.

You'd be right. I'll blow segments if I do KRK-xxx-PRG-xxx-DUS; and I think my boss will kill me if I make him do BDA-LGW without a stop in BDA for some sun. Alas, it looks like I'm going to come in to PRG, nested ticket on Czech to KRK, and then resume my xONE3/4 from there.

Cheers,

-Andrew

Given that you're talking about November, BA will be (re)starting JFK-LGW by then. Just one daily flight, but currently no AA earning.
