It is in the planning stages. It will be used only as a back-up if I cannot get CX or JL seats to SIN. I don't mind 9W for J seats, but don't like the lay-over situation. I will be catching a cruise, so I will have to get to SIN somehow.

Heading to China next week with a layover at PVG. Has anyone been to the lounges there recently? Any lounge recommendation as to visit CX or JAL? Thanks!

Tried the CX lounge in PVG on Saturday. To me, the lounge was more than adequate. There is WiFi, comfortable seating, Business areas etc. Food included Dim Sim, Dumplings in Soup, Tomato Beef with Rice, Sandwiches etc. and some Lighter Snacks as well as full bar. More than adequate before the 2hr hop to HKG. Actually, imo, quite comparable to other airlines international lounges.

It depends on who you're flying with. CX is in terminal 2 while JAL is in terminal 1. Unless you're flying out on MU then you're probably going to be in terminal 2.

There is only one CX lounge for both Business and First Class I think. But it is a pretty good lounge nonetheless. I think opening times is around 0500 or 0600 until last flight, which is usually around 2030.

However, with seven hours to go I'd just take the maglev and head to the Pudong side of Shanghai for a meal, walk and maybe foot massage.
