New to FT - which programme to join?
Hi everyone.
This is my first time to post here and I was wondering if you could help me.
I will be moving to London soon and will take my first flight on BA. I have Staralliance Gold status but expect that I will (like now) end up flying BA sometimes.
I am wondering which Oneworld programme I should join. I normally buy the cheapest economy class and use points to upgrade.
Should I join BA or would it be better to join one of the partner airlines?
Thanks!

You can usually only join BA by flying full fare Y, W, J or F - though someone did send me a link where you can do it online.
Presumably you would join the BA programme. I just stuck with oneworld when I moved from Australia to Ireland - any reason why you want to change rather than sticking with Star?

You no longer need to take a Tier Point-accruing flight to join BA's program. Miles are earned on most flights, however the 'cheapest economy class' fares wouldn't earn the Tier Points you need to advance to higher status levels.

Welcome to FT & the OW Board Freshflyer!
If after having used the search function you still feel the need for some personalized advice you need to tell us more about your travel plans and purpose.
What do you want to get from a FF program? Award Flights? Status? Lifetime Status? Which routes will you be flying and in which cabin?
Happy reading!
