AA Transatlantic fuel surcharge

From a ticket I booked yesterday:

"AA YQ surcharge €124.00"

124 EUR? Isn't that higher than normal? Has the transatlantic YQ gone up just recently or have I been asleep and mssing something in the last few months?

The odd thing is their TATL fare charge is higher than Trans-pacific, and it's shorter flight!

I booked an AA flight to Germany in September and held it for a few days. When I went to purchase it, the overall fare had not changed, but the division into fare and surcharge did -- from about $459 + $128 to $319 + $268.
