Connection in Heathrow - Enough time?

Hi.

I have a Japan Airlines flight from Tokyo Narita to London Heathrow. I separately booked a flight with Iberia that leaves Heathrow 2.5 hours after my JAL flight is supposed to land.

Would this be sufficient time to connect from terminal 2 to terminal 3? I rang Japan Airlines and they said I have to check with the staff at the airport in Tokyo to see if they can check my baggage all the way through...

If they can't, I will have to collect my baggage and then check in for the Iberia flight separately all within the 2 or so hours before the flight leaves.

Just a note: I'm only flying One World airlines in this trip.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

Have you ticketed? If not, can you rebook on the same ticket? They should theoretically interline even not on the same ticket, but if JL do not want to confirm, you can be at risk. 2.5 hours is good for transit, but definitely not enough if you have to recheck in.

I booked both flights separately... I have two different e-tickets. The flight on Iberia was booked through the BA website. So yeah all I have is two separate e-tickets. I guess I have to figure out a way to get my bags checked all the way through.

Show both tickets (receipts if necessary) to JL at checkin and tell them you'll miss your connecting flight if they don't through-check.

Good luck and welcome to FT!

Thanks I'm sure JAL will do that for me, they seem to have good staff.

Thank you for the fast replies!
