Lounge access in MAD?

Im going to be flying into MAD in a few weeks from LHR with a 3 hr wait for my connecting flight to morrocco.

I am an AA EXP holder and therefore am aloud into the MAD lounge. What are the lounges like at MAD? Is there a seperate F and J lounge? What terminal are they in? Will they be in the same one as my flight leaves from?

Lastly, does anyone have any pictures of the lounges there?

Cheers,

Chris

There are no F lounges--don't think IB has any 3-class service. I've been to the Velazquez lounge in T4-S (Satellite), and it is very nice. I was able to get an ethernet cable from the front desk to sync up my email (or bring your own).

The IB lounges are called VIP Lounges. The gate keepers are much friendlier than the BA Dragons...and a boarding pass seems sufficent for entry as an Emerald or Sapphire status holder.

Definately will be worth a visit.

----------

There is one VIP lounge in T4:

The DALI lounge . is located on Level 2. This lounge is to be found just after the security controls (both the conventional or Shuttle service controls).
It has been designed for passengers on domestic flights, Puente Aéreo or flying to Schengen destinations.

There are two VIP lounges in T4S:

VELÁZQUEZ lounge is in the central area on Level 1, beyond the shops and restaurants.
It is for international, non-Schengen, passengers
The GOYA is on Level 0, beyond the lift doors on the right-hand side (near gates S)..
It is for passengers on Schengen and domestic flights that operate from T4S

Definitely worth going to the lounges. They are excellent. There's not a huge choice of food and the coffee isn't great, but lounges are spacious and comfortable. Normally you will be doing a T4S to T4S transfer (non-Schengen to non-Schengen) which is great as it avoids the main T4. You just have to go through a security check and I've never seen any lines at the T4S security check.
As the previous poster said, look for the VIP lounges. The Iberia lounge is not easy to find - it's just behind Starbucks in the centre of the terminal.

Your flight to Morocco will leave from T4S, as T4 is reserved to the Schengen zone flights. Most likely (but not absolutely certain), your flight from London will also arrive at T4S (same reason), although some IB flights arrive at T4. Do not use the lounges in T4, which are geared to medium haul, i.e mediocre catering, less space, more crowds. the lounge in T4S closest to your departure gate is the best one, plenty of space, sandwiches, excellent wine bar etc...

By the way, if you are a cigar smoker, the shop in Madrid T4 is the best in Europe, also the cheapest, far better than in T4S which only has overpriced Havanas, no Dominicans nor others. For those who insist on Havanas, the shop in T4 has them at a price lower than T4S by at least 15 %. Not having Dominicans in T4S is a drag on US bound passengers who cannot bring in Cuban cigars. (Aena, take note...)

Thank you all very much for all the responses! It seems like i will enjoy using the lounges at MAD!

Is it free wireless access in the lounges? Or is it operated by t-mobile or another provider?

Not at T4S, but the front desk will lend you a cable if you need one to connect your laptop.

IB LHR flights have been using T4 for months now. Big pain for Non-Schengen to LHR connections... If you have a choice try to use BA to/from LHR since they use T4S.

EasyJet operates from T1.
