DONE4 Question - AA or BA from MCO - FRA?
Hi,
I'm in the process of doing a RTW DONE4 in June. I need 760 SC's by June 30 to reach QF Platinum and my QF Gold status re-assessment isn't until June, 2008
I need to be in MCO from June 7-14 for a conference and after that I want to visit FRA, GVA, HKG, BKK and CNS before returning to MEL by June 25. Having read a lot of the SC maximising questions and using the Mileage Monkey I can get at least 1000 SC's but I have a couple of questions:
MCO to FRA? - I have the option on AA of a 777 or a 763, which is better?
Or is BA a better option in J even thought its via LHR which I hear is not the best transfer airport.
Also, I'm confused about the SC earnings on the transatlantic flight, do I earn more on AA than on BA?
Thanks
Brumm

It's worse than that. BA goes from MCO to LGW, not LHR. You'd have to schlep across London (with bags) in order to get to FRA.
Either DFW or ORD are probably better choices. If via ORD you might get lucky and get a 767 with new business class seating; if via DFW it will be on a 777 with old-style (but still comfortable enough) J seats.

SC earning is the same on all airlines and strictly based on sector length and class (the discount economy classes vary by airline, but D is the same for all of them). From the east coast the BA J product is a mixed blessing (flight is too short to get much sleep, so you don't get much use of the bed, though BA has tried to fix that by not serving dinner on-board and offering pre-flight dining instead). AA has better food eastbound, and the 763 J is a J+ service (midway between J and F). Definitely worth seeking out a 763 flight to FRA, also the extra 2 hours flying time to FRA makes the flight a lot more pleasant.
