HKG-JNB-SYD considered as illegal backtracking?
Hello.
I'm planning a rtw-trip, and just wonder if it's possible to go from Asia to Africa, and then continue towards Australia?
Let's say my itinerary looks like this:
OSL-HEL-NRT-HKG-JNB-SYD-AKL-SCL-NYC-LHR-OSL
With this itinerary I'm heading eastwards between continents except for my HKG-JNB flight . Is this legal or not?
Thank you.

Or in most mileage-based RTW products. The restriction is primarily to prevent abuse in the unlimited mileage aspects of OWE (do any other unlimited mileage products exist any more?).
