OW Lounge Access with AMEX Platinum
When I was in Jakarta recently, there were some lounges that permitted access to holders of certain credit/charge cards. When I made inquiries, I was told this access applied local (Indonesian) cardholders only.
May years ago, I used Diners Club card to access their lounge in Auckland and (from memory) Santiago (latter may not have been their lounge but someone else's).
I have AMEX Platinum issued in Australia. Has any of the readers accessed lounges at overseas airports using debit/credit cards? Which ones?

Well, Diners Club do have a very clear lounge policy for all card holders, nothing to do with the airline the member is flying (so actually nothing to do with OW, or any other alliance, for that matter) and details are available at their int'l website. The lounges they have agreements with usually tend to be those "Priority Club" type of quite basic facilities.

The Brazilian variety of AMEX Platinum is supposed to be good for Delta and Continental lounge access if you happen to fly on those airlines. AMEX also is supposed to have its own lounge somewhere in GRU. I have never had the opportunity to actually try this out.

There are Centurion lounges run by Amex in EZE and GRU - I've been allowed entry a dozen times in EZE using my Amex gold credit card and refused entry in GRU because the card also has an AMA logo on it and doesn't look exactly like the cards on their laminated sheet which shows which cards are entitled to access.
