Access to third party lounges?

Got off QF 64 JNB-SYD a few hours ago (a bit bleary) and thought we'd try the SAA lounge at JNB instead of the BA lounge (SAA codeshares QF 63/64 hence the lounge access.)
Never again. Dark, crowded, poor food, small Italian children acting out, totally unintelligible flight announcements... Ick.
