I will be flying oneworld (Qantas and American Airlines) Business or First through all four of LAX, MEL, SYD, PER.

Is there a list of airport lounges anywhere, with the requirements to get in and the facilities they offer?

I'm specifically interested in whether showers are available in each airport, as I'm about to embark on a gruelling ORD-LAX-MEL-PER and then an equally gruelling PER-SYD-LAX-ORD.

Flying QF in business or first gives you lounge access at LAX, MEL, PER and SYD.

LAX-MEL departs from TBIT. There is an interim lounge while the terminal is being remodelled. No showers. If arriving on AA with a moderate length connection, stay in T4 and visit the Admirals Club there (with showers) and head over to T4 at least an hour before departure (90 minutes would be safer).

At MEL you can use the domestic lounge. This has showers.
Ditto for PER.
At SYD you can use the domestic lounge before making your way to the international terminal, and the international business lounge (unless travelling in first or have One World Emerald status in which case can use first lounge) once you have cleared immigration there.

Back at LAX you can use Admirals Club since travelling on an international itinerary in business or first class.

Part of my AONE is JNB-SYD-PER-MEL-AKL and LAX-DFW-DTW-MIA-LGA.

Can I use the lounges in all those cities because I was under the impression that internal flights do not gt lounge access?

I believe that domestic lounge access in SYD and PER would depend on OneWorld status. MEL outbound on AONE would allow access to the F lounge.

You do get access in Australia because the domestic flights are part of an international itinerary. In USA you get access for the same reason, but only if connecting, not after a stopover.

So to make it clear:

Australia: So I would get access at every leg even though the flights are a few weeks apart. MEL F lounge available as I am going to AKL. OW status not needed.

USA: I wouldn't get access as the flights are again a few weeks apart and not stopovers as such. OW status needed if I want lounge access.

USA: yes. Note: if your flights are a few weeks apart then they are stopovers; the oposite to a stopover is a connection.

Interesting so for e.g SYD-LAX May 1 then LAX-DFW May 10 DFW-DTW May 12 DTW-MIA May 15 and MIA-LGA May 30 JFK-YVR June 12. This counts as stopovers (all on the same AONE PNR) and I would be able to use the lounge at all those airports without OW status? SYD-LAX is on QF, the rest is on AA.

If I add extra flights not part of the AONE then normal lounge access rules apply and I would need to show my OW card to gain access, correct?

Do the dragons know about this or do I need to print something from a website somewhere to prove access is acceptable.

I think you got it wrong, or I explained it badly.

SYD-LAX: access ok.
LAX-DFW: access ONLY if your OW status is Emerald/Saphire AND non AAdvantage.
DFW-DTW: ditto.
DTW-MIA: ditto.
MIA-LGA: ditto.
Other US domestic flights purchased separately: ditto.

There is no F MEL-AKL so you may be directed to the business class side of the lounge. I would show my first class ticket and politely request access to the first class side since on a first class ticket. You may or may not be successful (MEL lounge bouncers are notorious rule sticklers).
