So to make it clear:

Australia: So I would get access at every leg even though the flights are a few weeks apart. MEL F lounge available as I am going to AKL. OW status not needed.

USA: I wouldn't get access as the flights are again a few weeks apart and not stopovers as such. OW status needed if I want lounge access.
