I'm trying to get in touch with BA in Mauritius but without success. Is '[email protected]' the correct email ? And the phone number seems not to work either.

Can I also ask whether with a paper xONEx ticket you have to pay if you change flight dates, or only if you change routes ?

And is JAL a member yet ? (I ask because I need to get from Tokyo to Singapore at some point and I presume only JAL would fly this route).

Many thanks,

Azurflyer

The email address appears to be correct. Read the following threads and you will see that their initial response may take several days.

Normally, date changes, where the routing remains the same, should not require a ticket reissue or fees.

JAL is not a member yet (although they can be used for global explorers).

They will just put a sticker over the flight date/number/time section of the paper ticket with the new details on it.

Normally, yes. But there have been several posts in the recent past where some stations have tried to, or have, imposed a fee(albeit justified in at least one case where the booking code was changing), hence my use of "normally."

Yes, a year or so ago AA/LAX refused to sticker a LAX-LHR coupon to change carrier from BA to AA, and of course to change flight details. Agent claimed it was AA policy to never sticker a coupon. AA wanted the usual $125 for the - unnecessary - reissue.

It probably would be useful to collect anecdotes here, to draw a picture of which OW carriers are likely to charge travelers for nominally "free" services.
