Circle pacific tix questions

I am flying Circle pacific
LAX/SYD/SIN/KUL/LAX in J

I plan to book thru AA so that I can get double miles/$ based on Citi bank Card

Any disadvantage/advantage to booking with actual carrier flight # or code shares.?

Specifically LAX/SYD- book qf or AA code share
SYD/SIN- book BA flight # or QF code share
KUL/LAX- book CX flight or AA code share
Thank you

AA codeshare is useful on LCIRCx fares (it earns mileage crediting to AA), but otherwise not useful for D or A fares. Upgrades are never available on codeshares, you must book the real metal if that is a consideration. Finally most airlines treat codeshares as 2nd class at some point, so if you don't care you might be better off booking the real metal instead of the codeshare.
