Increased BA frequency JNB-MRU in Dec/Jan

Has everyone noticed that there are more flights on this route - Wed and Sun (in addition to the usual Sat) during the SA holiday season of Dec to mid Jan? Gives a few more choices for MRU issued tickets. ^ But flights will be heavily booked so act fast.

They are already. The first flight I could get was on MRU - JNB 20th Jan and that was two weeks ago. Nothing before that and the likelihood of anything opening up before that is very remote she said.

What is wierd is that for many dates KVS shows the flight and nothing else - literally nothing. The flight is there but no fare buckets are listed- no J0 Y0 etc. - nada. For many others the economy fare buckets are there but no business fare buckets. It's almost as if they haven't been loaded. Am I living in a dream world to think that suddenly one day a whole bunch of extra seats in all classses will suddenly appear?

What date ranges are you looking at and what class? I just had a quick look using EF at a couple of random January dates and the flights were wide open.

It's an issue with the Amadeus engine -- sometimes, it does not show completely zeroed-out flights. If you swith to Apollo, you will see:

[KVS Availability Tool 2.5.3/Platinum - Apollo: ITN/US-TNT]
Code:
JNB Johannesburg Int'l ZA [FAJS]
MRU Mauritius S Seewoosagur Ram Int MU [FIMP]
SUN 07 Jan 2007

Carrier Flight From Depart To Arrive A/C St Availability
--------- ------ ---- --------- ---- --------- ---- ---- --------------------------------------
BA/OH 6397 JNB 09:10 MRU 15:20 733 0 Y0 B0 H0 K0 M0 R0 L0 V0 S0 N0 E0 Q0 G0

Ta for the explanation, KVS. ^

Viajero, it is only the Amadeus listing on KVS. Happens on 23/24 Dec and 3 Jan for MRU-JNB for example.
