JL operates B744 on YVR-MEX (J/Y 2-class, twice a week though). Should be available when JL joined OW.

Does all this mean I can go BKK-LHR-MRU-JNB for a ticket I bought in GIB?

Any idea how I can go through a faw away third Asian city from BKK to HKG to earn miles? tx. (I can't get on BOM flight and have been warned off KRI). Tx.

What do you mean by "all this" and what would be the rest of the itinerary? If it is what I think then the answer is no, because of the second entry in Europe rule.

F available ?

Ihave received confirmation on an AONE5 , but couple of segments that I felt should be in F are in D as below :

CATHAY PACIFIC - CX 520 BUSINESS CLASS
FRI 02FEB HONG KONG-HK TOKYO-JP
HONG KONG INTL NARITA
NON STOP TERMINAL 1
1015 1520 DURATION 4:05
NON SMOKING
RESERVATION CONFIRMED
LUNCH SERVED
EQUIPMENT:AIRBUS INDUSTRIE A330
--------------------------------------------------------
QANTAS AIRWAYS - QF 70 BUSINESS CLASS
WED 07FEB TOKYO-JP PERTH-WA
NARITA
NON STOP TERMINAL 2 TERMINAL 1
2040 0600 08FEB DURATION 10:20
NON SMOKING
RESERVATION CONFIRMED
DINNER SERVED/REFRESHMENTS SERVED
EQUIPMENT:BOEING 767-300/300ER

Is this due to lack of availability or is there no F at all on these routes ?

Viajero Nov 16, 2006 9:57 am

CX520 is a 2-class flight (no F), but note CX450 and CX504, same day, are 3-class flights with F. I don't know about availability.

QF70 is a 2-class flight (no F at all on that route).

Thanks..I will ask them to change the first one, as I am not that firm about dates.

Is there a 3 class F to Sydney perhaps ? Or another option maybe to fly out of HKG on Cathay.

Amazingly, no.

Sure, that's an option. F on both CX and QF, one J-only QF flight also.

They rectified the HKG - NRT -HKG to First class, however HKG - PER is still in Business class. Is there F on this segment or should it be HKG - SYD ?

Not only is there no F, the J is regional business class (aka economy with better food/wine). I would really recommend trying to go via SYD or MEL which have F (and real business class).

So what's the last word on an ex-MRU xONEx and re-entering Europe twice (assuming the second re-entry is a < 24-hr transfer?). Earlier posts on this thread indicate it is allowable, in spite of not being explicitly mentioned in the fare rules, while the commencement of JNB-MRU seems to cast doubt on this for some reason.

Is anyone able to clarify? I'm seriously tempted by the A fares, but having to drop my Euro segs would make it represent slightly poorer VFM.
