ORD transfer time once more
Hi all,
Disaster has been averted, partly. I've got a BA redemption ticket ORD-LHR-HEL-LHR-ORD and I'll continue my AONE there in November. BA managed to change the LHR-ORD BA297 to a 767 with no first class and I was bumped to J. It has required a few calls to get me to another flight with a F so that I don't have to see all the consultants there in J...
Anyway, now I'm on BA299, scheduled to arrive 18:10. I've then got 19:45 AA 607 to LAX and unfortunately that's the latest ORD-LAX flight at least on AA on that day. So I've got 1:35 to go through immigration, collect my luggage, check in (I'll try to do that already in Helsinki but it's a different PNR so it depends), change terminals, go through security and rush to the gate.
Probably no way except if BA299 arrives early?

Was on BA299 last week. From the plane to a cab (including waiting for luggage) in about 20 minutes. So it's doable on a good day. The two-class ORD-LAX flights are probably not that tight in A class so I'd imagine you'd have no trouble waitlisting for the next day's flights should you end up missing the 19:45.
(Well, I should update my optimistic assessment to mention that were delayed on departure by about 1.5 hours as the U.S. didn't clear the passenger list for travel until that time.)
