AONE4 itinerary - would be v. grateful for help...
I intend to take a RTW trip in F, ex-GIB. As it is our honeymoon, we have limited time and don't intend to make it a pure miles/points earning exercise!
I would be extremely grateful to anyone who could help by checking that this routing is within the rules (from my reading, I think it is, but I am no expert):
GIB LHR - YVR SYD (transit via HKG) MEL CNS DRW SIN LHR DXB LHR - GIB
Thank you in advance to anyone who can help.

Looks valid to me (subject to the max 2 stopover rule).
Edit: if SIN is a stopover then you cannot transit via HKG. In that case you would have to fly with QF direct to Oz.

You can backtrack within countries and continents, but you cannot re-enter a continent after leaving it, except: (a) a transit without stopover in Asia on a flight between Europe and SWP or vice versa, (b) a transit without stopover in Asia on a flight between North America and SWP or vice versa, (c) a transit without stopover in North America on a flight between South America and SWP, Asia or Europe or vice versa, (d) a transit without stopover in Europe on a flight between Europe and Ghana or Nigeria or vice versa. Any of these transit without stopover benefits can be taken in either direction (eg. Europe-SWP or SWP-Europe) and either before or after you wish to enter the continent for the second time to use your stopovers there.

SIN is a stopover, so if the FAQ are out of date, I will need to make a change and use QF to go directly.
That's a shame, I have never tried CX in F, and really wanted to!

Or, if the YVR-SFO-SYD flight is not operating when you are flying then why not look at YVR-JFK-SYD...
That being said though, if the QF YVR-SYD flight isn't up and running then it'd be far easier to fly/train down to SFO...and save the additional 24 hours or so that YVR-JFK-SYD would add to your journey..

It does say this on the OW Alliance website:
"Backtracking between regions is not permitted, except that Asia may be passed through twice providing one of the departure/arrivals in Asia is a transit without stopover in conjunction with travel between the South West Pacific and Europe."
But this suggests it would NOT work, since I would be coming from the US and it would not therefore be "in conjunction with travel between the South West Pacific and Europe" The second visit to Asia, in our case, would be the stopover and that would be the link between the South West Pacific and Europe.
