(North America) Oneworld Visit Pass
I am considering getting one of these for a few flights in the U.S. during August and I have one niggling question that all of you may help me with: What booking class do these 'pass' tickets fall into?
I am flying in and out on BA and ideally would like a skyteam pass (no connections) but may have to opt for one of these instead and go via DFW a few times.
The route is: LAX-SAN-IAH-ATL-SAN-IAH
Thanks in advance

I don't know about the booking class, sorry.
I suggest you check with aa.com or any travel agent www to see what those flights would cost if you buy them as regular tickets. IMO the visit passes are rarely worth it, the flights tend to be rather expensive!

That's well over a thousand bucks with the pass, not including taxes which are usually about $20 a segment. By my calculations, it would be somewhere around $1150 or so. Seems that with a little planning you might be able to find it cheaper. You might look at routes that are cheaper and buying those tickets separately and nesting them in the pass. For instance, SAN-IAH-SAN is 462 plus tax with the pass (probably about $500 total), but is coming up at 265 all-in, just buying it on its own. Conversely, LAX-SAN is 260 one way point-to-point, but would be about 100 with the pass. And I don't see any necessary advantage to buying the pass versus point to point, since the advantage is usually for free date changes, which doesn't seem to be the case here. Just looking through the rules, it looks like date changes are $100, but I invite correction since the rules are a bit convoluted.
