WT+ mileage earning with LONEx

WT+ mileage earning with LONEx
According to the sticky, if you pay for the BA WT+ option when flying LONEx's, you earn the appropriate mileage and q-points. Does anyone have direct experience with WT+ earning in QF or AA FFP? Appears to be a worthwhile expense to get full miles and a better seat on the ex-LHR to Asia flights.

And a much better chance for a J seat if there are issues with the flight which requires some OPups.
Thanks to a QF flight in HKG going inoperable, my one experience expected in a BA WT+ seat was very much better than I anticipated. But that started a problem - Mrs WF no longer likes economy on long haul flights....
