Qantas with AA miles
I apologize in advance for not being able to find this info here, as I'm sure it exists. It's too bad that 'AA' is not a valid search term, and neither is 'miles'!

I would like to take a Qantas flight and upgrade it with AA miles. Is this possible.

Also, if I wanted to book award travel on Qantas with AA miles (yes I did read the sticky! ) Is there anywhere online that I can do that?

No and no. Details on the AA web site if you want further info (though the answer is still no).

edit- bah beat me to it, i had it open in a tab and came to it much later

You can easily hear yes and yes by making one simple change: QF instead of AA. Both are possible to do using the QF FF program.

Thanks, but it's not possible to transfer miles from AA to QF, is it? I have only ever flown QF once before, and won't do it often so changing to them isn't going to work.

No reasonable way to transfer miles. You can earn QFF miles while flying any OW airline, such as AA; however AAdvantage is generally considered to be a much better FF plan than QFF. But for what you want to do, QFF is better as it can do it and AAdvantage cannot.
