Can someone have a look at my trip plan. For a AONE6 and tell me where i can fly in A class thanks.


London -> Cape Town -> Goa -> Bangkok -> Kuala Lumper -> Singapore -> Hong Kong -> Seoul -> Tokyo -> Sydney -> Auckland -> Fiji -> Rio de Janerio -> Honolulu -> L.A -> L. Vegas -> Vancover -> Toronto -> London.

Is there a better way to do this? e.g. Get in a few extra stops or taking a more direct route. I'm also keen on adding in Warsaw/Stockholm/Helsinki/Moscow if it is possible. I'm particually keen on getting the most out of my Long-haul flights by travelling in A class.

You have way too many destinations in Asia (max 4 segments within Asia - you could buy another 2 but they would still count towards the 20 maximum), you can't do Fiji on a OneWorld Explorer, you can only do Honolulu by going there from Sydney, so you would have to do South America after North America. And generally there are too many segments involved (20 maximum).

Forget Goa, buy it as a package from UK sometime in the future same with other European destinations.

Then look at where Oneworld members fly and operate

Just picking 20 destinations you like at random does not work, you have to plan ahead and look at the numerous rules and regulations.

+ buy 2 extra segments in Asia. Doesnt this make this trip a AONE5 now too ?

Im very keen to do Rio but i dont know how i can fit it into this plan.

This RTW planning seems Very complicated. I need to get a definate route before i decide to plan anything else!

Lots of short hops and only one addl segment in Asia. You would need to get from Bangkok to Singapore, which is reasonably cheap, and from Singapore to and back from Kuala Lumpur, which is also cheap. Also, you need to get to Sao Paolo from Rio, which isn't too much. Finally, I am presuming you can go to Goa from Bombay. I honestly don't know intra-Indian prices.

If you can take Goa out, you will make your life easier.

Download a oneworld timetable (a good one is at http://www.cathaypacific.com ) and this will let you plan the flights out. It is hopeless to do this without using an electronic timetable of some sort. Remember that every time the flight number changes it is a new sector and you are limited to 20 sectors on the fare.

chudsy, you have a LOT more homework you need to do on your own before people here can reasonably help you.
For example, how do you intend to fly from Capetown to Goa? Goa isn't even a OneWorld destination -- NO OneWorld carrier flies there. In fact, the only ways into India is via LHR (BA), DXB (CX), BKK (CX), HKG (CX) ORD (AA), or SYD (QF) -- no flights from Africa.
Spend some time reading the sticky posts in this forum, and spend some time reading through all sorts of old posts until you begin to understand the basics.
Then, as others have mentioned, you need a tool to help you figure out what flights/destinations are available. The "official" OW timetable (downloadable desktop product) actually includes a handy RTW/OWE trip planner function that incorporates flight schedules and the fare rules. This will be very helpful.

I spent 4 hrs last night looking at where i can travel - using the valid routes.

I will post again once i think i have got an acceptable route that forfills my needs.
