The AA arrivals lounge is excellent (lots of great shower suites --no waiting, and much faster internet access than at any of the BA lounges at LHR). The only drawback is the lack of a cooked breakfast, otherwise it is the ideal arrivals lounge. Used to have a nice gym, but nobody used it and it looks like the gym has been mothballed.

The aircraft stats you quote are for the 747-400ER and not the 747-400. As stated by someone else, it is only flown by QF. It is also a slightly larger aircraft than the 747-400 as it has a larger cargo hold, fuel tanks etc.

QF flys it on all its routes, although its primary route is the MEL-LAX route due to the distance - the normal 400 can't quite make it (weight restricted anyhow).
