RTW from Slovenia?
Just thinking about an RTW in F class and looked around for the best place to buy it. There's a reference to Slovenia to being the least expensive.... But there aren't any OW carriers flying out of Ljubljana, are there?
So, is CAI still the best bet?

chrissxb is hosting an FT Do in LJU in October. I finish my current AONE4 in CAI about that time, so was interested in LJU as a new starting point. However, as you say, there is no OneWorld service there.
I have been told that it is an excellent starting point for Star RTWs; apparently Kiwi Flyer has started his from there at least once.

Looks like it'll be CAI, then. Where do you buy your AONEs? Is there a particular agent that people are using these days?

I buy from Emeco in CAI. They issue on AA stock, which saves about $500 in fuel surcharges that BA imposes. However, the AONE4 jumped about 35% earlier this year. If you are buying AONE3's, Cairo pricing is still fine. I wouldn't buy an AONE4 there.

Is OW possible from Slovenia
Could anyone confirm whether it is possible to buy a xONEx starting in Slovenia?
The fares quoted in spreasheets on this board look very good! I know there are no OW carriers serving ljubljana - does that mean these fares should not exist?

Wasn't there a post just a week ago stating that AA started collecting the fuel surcharges, too?
