DONE4 Check and help.....please

Greetings:

After spending the last five months in a hospital I am starting all over on a DONE4 for June 06. I had my previous milage up to 59,000+ but I am not sure how I did it.

This DONE4 comes in at 56767....some how I lost the cns-per run, so settled with mel, has that been changed from Sunday ?

ist-lhr-yvr-dfw-bos-dfw-lax-sju-jfk-syd-cns-mel-akl-hkg-cmb-bkk-hkg-lhr-auh-lhr-ist...........???

Anyone see any way I can increase my milage? I am shooting for ExPlat with AA in 2006.

As always thanks for any help or suggestions.

It would help if you would post your proposed itinerary.

If you keep the exact same stops, but rearrange them a little by changing the direction of travel, you can then do LHR-SYD direct, for a trip total of 59,000+ miles

Is this primarily just a MR thing? You haven't said where you actually want to stop.

If you want to maximize miles in Oz you could try

jfk-syd-per-drw-mel-akl-hkg

This routing is the best bang for my buck I could find in the Oz segments. The only issue with this is the nasty flight times from DRW.

This takes it to 59701. If you want to squeeze some more from NA then do dfw-sea-dfw instead of bos and come up with 59933.

Cheers

You can add another 400 miles by going to MCT from LHR instead of AUH.

I always forget whether the AA ANC flights operate yet in June, assuming that's when going to be doing your NA segments. If they are operating, you can increase your mileage even more. Combining both SJO and ANC is possible too, but it requires some careful timing. For more transatlantic mileage, try starting off by flying to MEX, LAX or SFO instead of YVR.

There's a long thread in this forum with some long itineraries; I can't find it at the moment, so I can't post a link, but I remember it having additional creative ideas for maximizing your mileage.

You can also add about 1500 miles if you do HKG-CMB-BKK-SIN-HKG for the intra-asia segments.

If it is really all about q-points and EXP, then ist-lhr-lax-ord-anc-dfw-yvr-jfk-hkg-cmb-hkg-nrt-per-drw-mel-akl-syd-lhr-mct-lhr-ist makes around 64,650 mi - but not all of your stops, and some you didn't put in.

This is a northern hemisphere summer itinerary - the ANC services typically start around the 1st of June (not the same days for ORD and DFW) and last until Sept. 1 or so (again, they don't end simultaneously.)

In the northern winter, ist-lhr-lax-sjo-bos-dfw-yvr-jfk-hkg-cmb-hkg-nrt-per-drw-mel-akl-syd-lhr-mct-lhr-ist uses the LAX-SJO leg and gets you around 63,670 mi.

Here is a thread that may assist:

RTW ticket, longest routing's ??

Note that a rule change relating to max of one segment between PER & MEL/BNE/SYD/CNS makes same of these no longer valid. However, you could always go via ADL from MEL/SYD/BNE where a one way connection can be purchased at around US$100.

Thanks.............Thats how I had it laid out in May I think...........now have t0 break trip up into two parts.......I had hoped that perhaps I had missed a flight or flights that would add to the overall milage.

This is a "sightseeing" trip with the hope that I can build it in to gaining EXplat with AA along the way (Adding on other trips through the year)

Thanks to all,
