I meant to say both American Airlines (AA) itself, and its sales agent in Cairo (Emeco) impose the same restriction.

Since I won't have any flights on AA, I'll need to book w/ Ms. Shohi @ BA?

According to the current schedule, SYD-NOU is operated by Qantas on Sunday, Monday, and Saturday, QF91/92. Is that OK?

I did try the validator, but it thinks CAI-LHR-GIB is a trans-cont flight.

Congratulations, you would appear to have found a bug. Please let the maintainer know In the meantime, you could probably substitute MAD or somewhere for the purposes of validating the rest of your itinerary.
